Melissa's passion resides in connecting with people and building relationships through traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).  As a care-giver, she treat each client as a wealth of information in which she is eager to learn from.  She feel healing begins through this mutual connection to another person.  While listening and observing, her goal is to establish a unique diagnosis and treatment platform to optimize effectiveness for each individual's needs.

Melissa's journey to TCM began while attending nursing school in 1999.  That year, she was involved in a serious car accident that redirected her focus of study.  During her return to health, she experienced both physical and emotional healing through complementary medicine.  This monumental experience shifted her approach to care for others.

With a focus in women’s health and pre & post-natal care, she enjoys working with individuals of all stages of life.  Melissa earned her degree in TCM from the prestigious Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, B.C.  In addition, she practiced TCM in Beijing, China in 2005.  She is NCCAOM certified and licensed by the state of Montana to practice acupuncture and is an active member of the Montana Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAAOM).

Melissa is dedicated to service on a deeply personal level.  This dedication to health and vitality established a relationship with “Acupuncturists Without Borders” where in April 2013, she traveled to Nepal and provided acupuncture care to trafficked women, orphaned children and men.

In a typical treatment, she often combines acupuncture with tuning fork therapy (acutonics) and mindfulness meditation.  Herbal remedies are recommended as needed and play an important role in maintaining efficiency of the healing process.  Traditional techniques including moxibustion, cupping and gua sha are utilized as well.  Melissa feels it is imperative to inform and inspire each person to participate in their health.

An initial acupuncture appointment is $90 and all follow-up appointments will be $75. The price of a labor induction treatment is $55.
